Did anyone ever make you think they were seriously ill when they really weren't?

No but a friend of mine was telling me that when he was like 10 and his sister was 9 their mom got a job. And instead of telling them thats what happened she told them that she had cancer and that the treatments caused them to swell. Then like when he was 15 his uncle mentioned something about his mom's job and him and his sister was like mom we were really worried about you why didn't you just tell us? She said I was too embarred. lol
