Q for those who think it's ok for the Fund to pay for Lawyers: Say the McCanns face child neglect charges?

Presume for a minute that they are not directly involved in Madeleine's disappearance, but are charged with neglect for leaving the three children unsupervised in an unlocked apartment on May 3rd... do you think they would be justified in using the Fund money to fight those charges?
