Ramadan: Why do Muslims say Christian/Jewish figures were devout Muslims?

abraham was the founder of judaism app. 5,000 years ago how he became a muslims is beyond me. jesus was the founder of christianity and not one word in the bible is in the quran. so when did he become a muslim. how could islam exist without mohammad and the quran?
